Linkyn's Dedication

Pastor Jim is praying for Linkyn to be the best little girl and to follow God in her life! He also thought it be wonderful if Linkyn in her teenage years could be a role model to other young girls! That would be awesome and will be my goal!

We had Linkyn dedicated today at church. This means that we will be role models to Linkyn and will also team up with God to nurture and mold little Linkyn in his footsteps. Right before it was her turn, she was getting pretty squirmy in my arms. I had to whisper in her ear, "It's almost your turn!" Finally it was her turn. She spotted our family in the audience at one point and pointed and did a little wave - LOL!

We had a lovely baby shower for my sister Tawnya and her baby girl, Payton on June 20 at the Miguel's Cantina at Dos Lagos. My mother has all of the good pictures on her camera, so I will have to get those from her and post a few more. Tawnya's baby bump is so cute! All that she has is a little baby belly and that's it - she looks great! She received some beautiful gifts and all perfect for Payton's arrival. We can hardly wait! Tawnya is due on August 14th!

First Pedicure!

Linkyn received her first pedicure! Well, not really! She just had her little piggies painted! I was getting a pedicure and Linkyn was being such a good girl that I decided to have the girl paint her toes. She was very still and was so excited to see the pretty pink color on her toes! I am sure this won't be the last time she gets her nails done!

Look how beautiful the background is. We had our own private beach out on the middle of the lake. Just awesome! We had a great time out on Lake Mojave and rolling with the Cozart Family in their boat!

Mother's Day Weekend!

Month of May Coming Right Up!

I am finally getting a chance to BLOG! I am going back to the month of May to show some photos from Mother's Day weekend and Memorial weekend! I promise to be a better blogger this summer! Now, that it's officially summer. I think you can feel the HEAT today! We don't have an AC right now (thanks to our little jack russell terrier, Chopper!), so I am inside my house sitting at the computer in my bathing suit. Yes, my bathing suit, it's that hot inside! We don't even have a pool!

I passed!

I passed I passed I passed! I can't believe it! All of my hard work paid off. Thank you Lord! I was so stressed out there for the last few weeks trying to get my accreditation as a LEED professional. There were a few sleepless nights and no fun for me for the last few weeks. Actually, I take that back - I did have fun. I managed to squeeze in a bridal shower, a double birthday bash (check out The Cozart Family link!), and a graduation party last weekend! Not too bad! Anyways, I have a few projects due at work and then my sister Tawnya's baby shower (check out The Silke Family link!) this weekend and the weekend after that my friend Ami's bridal shower (check out The Tate Family link!). I am due to post some pictures and I think that this Sunday will be the day!!!!! Woo hoo! Until then, have a great rest of the week!

I suck!

So, I totally have not been a good blogger for the last few months. I have been very busy being a full-time Mom, full-time employee, participating in ASPE (American Society of Professional Estimators), taking 4.5 units at RCC (towards a Construction Technology certificate), and preparing for my LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design!) exam (this coming Monday at 3:30 PM).

We can cross off the 4.5 units, those were done as of this last Monday night! Whewwww! We are on summer break for ASPE. We will begin again in September. I am on the board of directors and I am also the editor-in-chief for our monthly newsletter. Cross that one off! I have been doing some major studying for my LEED exam, while working at the same time. It's been a little rough for me. I will be studying tonight, tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday! Once I pass that, I can cross that off my list. Wish me luck - I really need it!

Now, I need to make a decision if I am going to take summer school or not. It's only 3 units, but ever since summer is accelerated we have to meet twice a week - ugggggggggggghhhhhhh!

This is my break from studying to vent! Hehe. Hope you all don't mind. I will definitely have some more time on my hands once I pass my test on Monday. And then I am going to blog it up!
