The Night Before Christmas Eve...

A heart-filled mitten, a red candy cane (with sprinkles), a cute gingerbread man, a "Juicy" tree, a bedazzling snowflake, and a melt in your mouth candy cane! So cute! Next year, we (myself and Ami) plan on having a cookie party of our own.
I know I'm looking a little worn down in this picture. Worked a 10-hour day at work today and then off to make cookies! It was worth it though! Somebody very lucky is going to get these yummy cookies as part of their Christmas gift - hehe!
The group that participated: Theresa, Me, Ami, Traci, Wendy, Aunt Jill (looking all cute in her red apron), and Chris! Yes, Chris! Look very closely at his cookies if you can!
We had cookie class at Pila's Pantry tonight! It was so much fun to get together with friends and decorate these fabulous little cookies for the holidays. I am going to have to say that Chris shocked me with his decorated cookies. They were by far the most detailed cookies I've seen done by a man! His Christmas tree had presents under the tree for crying out loud! Crazy!

Christmas Party...continued

Christmas Party with friends last Saturday night at their new home in Lake Elsinore overlooking Canyon Lake (stunning view). Everyone had a really good time. Neal and I had a nice night out and were able to leave Linkyn with her Oma and Grandpa.

Early Christmas Present

We let Linkyn open up an early Christmas present this weekend. This gift was from our friends. I opened it partially before Linkyn because my friend (thanks Weyl Family) wanted me to see the little princess, which looks like Linky! It was cute to see Link get so curious about opening gifts. She did like the bow and the paper more than the gift at first though! Haha.

9-Month Check-Up

For those of you that care, here are Linkyn's stats for her 9-month check-up, which we had in the very unpleasant weather today. She is 16.75 pounds and 28-3-4" tall. So, her weight is in the 15th percentile (ouch - that hurt when the doctor told me that!) and her height is in the 75th percentile. So, based on her height (super tall!), her weight is not a concern to the doctor. She is more active now - crawling, standing up, etc. He did tell me that I need to feed her more solid foods now and even try giving her some of our food.

Let me tell you about our trip to the doctor this morning in the pouring rain! It was awful. First of all, Linkyn caught a cold or something this weekend. I think it's my fault though. I took her out in her stroller at The Crossings when it was sprinkling on Saturday. I had her all bundled up, but the wind was blowing in her face, so I think that is how she got it. Anyways, she barely slept last night because of this cold (snotty face and sneezing). Appointment was at 8:45 AM (too early!). Pouring rain...traffic on the connector from the 15 to the 91. I'm late! Trying to transport her from car to stroller without getting her wet - not fun! Dropped her blanket on the pavement. Blanket is very wet now. Bottoms of my jeans are soaked. Holding my umbrella in my shirt while I grab baby. Scratching top of my car. Uggghhhhh! Doctor is late because of traffic. Thought Linkyn wasn't getting a shot today, but then doctor says a flu shot is a good idea. Linkyn and shots = not fun. Oh yeah, and I had to get a flu shot too! Anyways...that was my trip today. Sounds like fun, huh?!

Christmas Fun

Curious about the ornaments.

Just being silly!! She looks very tall in this picture, huh?!

Rhino Ride!

This is how we roll. This is the first time Linkyn has been on a ride in the Rhino. She absolutely loved it! First ride, she had her mouth wide open tasting the air. Second ride, she passed out! It's very safe - I swear! Neal used tie-downs and the car seat wasn't going anywhere. Of course, I couldn't keep my eyes off of her the whole time!

Ocotillo Wells - The Pumpkin Patch

These pictures are from one of our rides in Ocotillo Wells, this Thanksgiving holiday. We all set out on a ride that led us to this site called 'The Pumpkin Patch'. As you can see, there are rocks that have eroded out of the ground that resemble a patch of pumpkins! Very cool! Here's a few pictures!

Thanksgiving Night!

Feel asleep at the table on Thanksgiving! We went camping, so it was just a picnic table.
The darling jacket that I have finally been able to put on Linkyn! With the weather being so hot lately, I thought she would grow out of it first.
See my teeth?! Two of them!
I get this face from my Mama!
Mama and Linkyn! Sorry no pictures of Daddy and Linkyn in this post!

Kimono Time

Linkyn in her very first Kimono! She's excited!
